Kyocera's leadership in the field of environmental sustainability is grounded in its long-life, low-waste ECOSYS technology. Only with ECOSYS can users make a substantive reduction in their organisation's carbon footprint.
The Kyocera way: replace what needs replacing
When a Kyocera user's machine runs out of toner, all the user replaces is the toner. This arrives in a simple cassette made from just two types of plastic.
Sound logical? It is - but it is not the norm in the print industry.
The industry way: needless waste
When the toner runs out on most printers, the user has to replace an all-in-one print cassette. This does contain the toner - but it also contains a new drum and most of the other parts of the print engine (around 60 different components.)
Only Kyocera avoids this wastefulness by standardising on long-life, low-waste drums.
Recycling
The simple design of a Kyocera toner cassette allows us to run a recycling programme that is unrivalled. Used toner cassettes are recycled within the UK. Because they are so basic they are shredded into plastic pulp which is then sold for immediate re-use in the manufacture of other plastic products.
