The Kyocera way: replace what needs replacing

Kyocera Mita’s Ecosys engine offers you an alternative approach to cartridge printing. The traditional laser printer, based on a toner cartridge forces you, by design, to scrap everything mechanically clever about the printer when the toner runs out. Kyocera Mita have designed our printers in such a way that when toner runs dry, that’s all you replace, in a clean and convenient cassette. The drum, developer and cleaning system have been built to last. As a result Kyocera Mita are able to offer you page printers that conform to all software standards yet are capable of printing three times as much for your money. Since the acquisition of Mita, we’ve applied the same long-life drum technology to our copier based multifunctional products, to offer similar ecological and economical benefits.

Reliability

Better by design

The same long-life ECOSYS technology that underpins a Kyocera printer's sustainability also accounts for its outstanding reliability. The main system components are built to last and, because they are an integral part of the machine, they are not subject to the kinds of user 'intervention' that typically cause breakdowns.

Sharing the toughest technology

Kyocera print engines are designed to withstand the demands of high-volume copying environments. The expertise gained in developing these machines is transferred to our printer fleet. Our departmental A3 printers actually use exactly the same print engines as some of our copiers.

Kyocera sustainability
Sustainability

Kyocera's leadership in the field of environmental sustainability is grounded in its long-life, low-waste ECOSYS technology. Only with ECOSYS can users make a substantive reduction in their organisation's carbon footprint.

The Kyocera way: replace what needs replacing

When a Kyocera user's machine runs out of toner, all the user replaces is the toner. This arrives in a simple cassette made from just two types of plastic. Sound logical? It is - but it is not the norm in the print industry.

The industry way: needless waste

When the toner runs out on most printers, the user has to replace an all-in-one print cassette. This does contain the toner - but it also contains a new drum and most of the other parts of the print engine (around 60 different components.) Only Kyocera avoids this wastefulness by standardising on long-life, low-waste drums.

Recycling

The simple design of a Kyocera toner cassette allows us to run a recycling programme that is unrivalled. Used toner cassettes are recycled within the UK. Because they are so basic they are shredded into plastic pulp which is then sold for immediate re-use in the manufacture of other plastic products. .

Kyocera printers & copiers

There are many reasons to buy Kyocera printers and MFP copiers. Such as their outstanding peformance, quality and array of advanced features; their biggest advantages are:

All of these advantages are the direct result of one unique technical advantage: Kyocera's ceramic drum technology. No other manufacturer uses this technology in its printers. No other manufacturer gains the advantages that this material offers.
The key advantage of Kyocera's ceramic drum is durability.
